I paint to make people feel something.
I'm Aadya Mittal — an independent artist working across painting, illustration and mixed media. My work lives at the intersection of color, emotion and quiet observation: the warmth of morning light, the weight of a familiar face, the small rituals that fill a day.
I've spent years experimenting with watercolor, gouache and acrylic to develop a visual language that feels both expressive and intentional. Whether it's a single portrait for a loved one or a sweeping mural for a café, I treat every commission as a story worth telling beautifully.
My philosophy is simple: art shouldn't sit at a distance. It should be lived with, looked at on grey days, and felt across rooms.
A few guiding principles
Color first
I trust color the way other artists trust line. It carries every emotion in my work.
Made by hand
Every piece is original, hand-painted with archival materials. No prints sold as originals.
Built to last
From canvas prep to varnish, every step is done so your artwork ages beautifully.
